Baby Bedding!

Mrs Preppy shared her FABULOUS crib bedding plan and I felt the need to join in on the fun.

I'm in love with this baby bedding. I've searched high and low to find something a little more budget friendly that I love this much, but no such luck just yet. The walls to my nursery are light green (see above) and I think this would look just scrumptious for Baby U. It is also a Central Park Toile which just seems so appropriate for my Big Apple baby! You can find it here at Spoil The Baby and here at Rosenberry Rooms (and yes, they have it in pink and green too.) What do you think--is it worth it if Momma R buys it for me or should I let her pay for 1/2 our stroller (we're going with the Bugaboo Cameleon in chocolate brown)? For the record, she's in love with it too. Each time I look at it, I love it a little bit more. Why can't I fall in love with something that's $100 or does that not exist?

The bedding is gorgeous! However, we opted against a bumper (for safety (SIDS) reasons). You may be able to find separate pieces that work together nicely - we used a simple white skirt in a fabric that coordinated with our curtains. We use a fun jungle sheet because it just peeks out the sides of the crib from underneath the Ultimate Crib Sheet.

So my vote is to skip the bedding and take your lovely mother up on her offer to help you out with your Bugaboo - we have a similar stroller (the UppaBaby Vista)... you're going to love it!

I LOVE the bedding! The colors are delightful and who doesn't love toile?! I think it is beautiful and if your mother has fallen for it to I think you just might need it.

The bedding is adorable - I can see why you love it! I hate to be a kill joy, but I would go for the stroller. We also opted not to use bumpers because of the risk of SIDS. Or maybe you could find curtains or something that you could use longer?

A good stroller is much more practical and something that you will get more use out of in the long run. Good luck!

Just to clarify...we are getting the stroller either way. It's a must for the city. =)

It is a little pricey, but it is beautiful!!!! I love it. The stroller is very nice. Have you looked into finding the fabric and having it made? Have you seen the site www.javisdavis.com? They have custom bedding for quite a bit cheaper I believe. Good luck!

Two of my friends got beautiful bedding and returned the bumper pads almost immediately after the babies were born. They aren't worth it, though they're cute! They definitely pose a choking risk with the ties. I would go for 1/2 the cost of the stroller and try to find other bedding. Unless you plan on keeping this through 2 kids (even if the second is a girl). To me, it just wouldn't be worth it. It is beautiful bedding though!!! GL!

Cute! Make sure to splurge on the cup holder for your bugaboo. Mine has changed my life!

very cute bedding! have you checked etsy for a seller who makes custom bedding? i searched "toile crib bedding" and a few came up. actually one design looks a lot like the one you posted but the price tag is about $100 less. You might also be able to have a seller make it nearly exactly like the more expensive one you like.

well, I love the stroller and the bedding. I say the bedding is soooo very important and special because you will see it so much and hey sometimes that stroller is just in a closet. I say yes to bedding either from mom or someway yourself. Both are must haves. I also love the bumper pads and used bumper pads with no problems. Bumper pads make the crib!! I do agree though, see if someone local, eBay or etsy can make for you. I am thinking your mom would totally go for both!!! Also, thinking further down the line, you too could sell it on eBay to recover some of the $$. I resold my daughter's custom made bedding for about 1/2 of my cost!

I hope you have a nice week!

There is a place in Crestline called Once Upon A Time that does beautiful custom bedding in Alabama. We have been satisfied with everything we have purchased there, including our Bugaboo Frog.

LOVE the bedding. Beautiful! As far as the bugaboo - my only caveat is that it doesn't fold up so getting into cabs w/it is not really an option.
